Welcome to the Love N Care Playhouse!

We are a licensed childcare program, and place where children are inspired to explore their unique talents and interests in a home away from home environment. We are committed to working alongside families to provide personalized care, ensuring that each child can explore, learn, and grow under the supervision and guidance of dedicated and experienced caregivers. We offer a structured day with opportunities for group as well as individual activities. We enjoy spending time outside and have a fenced in back yard for a safe place to explore.

We would love to have you join the Love N Care Playhouse family!

Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups do you serve?

We serve children from birth to 12 years old, providing tailored programs for each developmental stage.

Are meals provided during care?

Yes, we provide nutritious meals and snacks to ensure that your child has the energy they need for a full day of learning. We love when families share their snacks with us as well. We simply ask that when doing so, you provide enough for all of the children in care. We will take into account any dietary restrictions.

Do you have a curriculum?

The Love N Care Playhouse uses the amazing early learning Carol’s Affordable Tiny Tot’s Curriculum as the primary curriculum for the children enrolled in our program. More information about this curriculum can be found at: In https://carolscurriculum.com/home/our-curriculum/tiny-tots/

In addition to this purchased curriculum, we also rely on the children’s individual interests as well as the annual holidays, seasons, and special events to supplement ourprograms theme-based curriculum. We follow the interests and developmental levels of the children to plan our learning activities as well. The skill level and types of activities will change as the children grow and obtain new abilities and interests. We strive for growth but also respect the current developmental levels of each child in our care. Because we have a small group of children, we can individualize our program based on each child’s needs.

We plan monthly theme-based activities that are designed to build on the physical, emotional, and developmental level of each individual child. We do this through daily experiences of art, music, movement, science and math, literacy experiences, and social as well as emotional enhancement. Some of our daily activities do not produce papers or hard copies of results, so please be aware that you may not always be given a tangible object of your children’s learning experiences. The children do, however, acquire new understanding of the world and new skills daily.

What is your daily schedule?

We believe that children need consistency in their daily lives.  Our schedule is followed in a consistent manner, however, with so many little ones and their short attention spans the days may not always go as planned. For instance, in the summer months, our more structured indoor activities lessen and we instead spend most of our time outside playing. Our meal and snack times are always right around the same times, but we do less projects etc. than what we do during the school year. Here is a tentative schedule of our day:

7:00 -  8:00 ARRIVAL/FREE CHOICE

8:00 -  8:30 BREAKFAST

8:30 9:30 FREE CHOICE

9:30 - 10:00 SNACK

10:00-11:30 LARGE GROUP

11:30-12:30 LUNCH PREP/LUNCH

12:30- 3:00 NAP/ REST TIME

3:00 -  3:30 SNACK

3:30 - 5:00 FREE CHOICE/OUTSIDE

We try to let the kids make their own choices as much as possible, so during our unstructured times some of the children may be using the blocks while others work on puzzles or play with Play- Doh or color etc. If the weather is nasty or its an exceptionally crazy day we may put on an age appropriate movie or show for the kids to watch if they want, but theres generally very little television time in our house. Early mornings and at the end of the day the tv may be on but thats about it besides those crazy times when we all need to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the day.

How do you ensure safety and cleanliness?

Safety is our top priority. We maintain strict cleanliness protocols, regularly inspect our childcare areas to ensure a safe environment for all children.

Is my child required to nap?

All children in attendance between 12:30 pm and 3:00pm will be required to rest/nap. They do not have to sleep but they must rest and be quiet so the other children can sleep.Children young enough to sleep in a crib will be put in a crib or pack-n-play to rest. All children will lay down on blue nap cots, with their own bedding, on the main floor of the house and will be visibly supervised throughout nap time.

We do ask that parents try to prevent picking up their children during this time unless in emergencies. Some schedules leave no flexibility for this, and we understand that, however, if you must come during our rest time, please do so quietly. Please text Correy when you arrive instead of knocking or using the doorbell.

If there are questions regarding this please talk to us.

Will you help potty train my child?

Absolutely! We will work alongside the family to help with potty training.

How do I enroll?

To enroll in the Love 'N' Care Playhouse you must complete and maintain updated information on the forms required by the Department of Consumer and Industry Services, Day Care Licensing Division, and also our personally required paperwork.  You must also have at least one face-to-face interview with us where we can meet with you and your child or children.

Many of the forms are required by the state, therefore you must have all paperwork completely filled out and returned prior to your children starting care. You must also pay upfront for the first week of care at your contracted rate. Once all paperwork is received and your first week’s tuition is paid in full we are ready to begin caring for your little one(s)
